Áine is the name of a Celtic goddess, queen of the fairies, goddess of air, light, love and fertility. It is no coincidence that that name tickled me when I first found it while researching Celtic mythology.
My name is Claudia Crespo, and under the pseudonym Áine, I compose and perform songs that have a lot to do with what this goddess of the same name represents. I sing about love, I sing about emotions, I talk about light, water, air, nature. I sing about breastfeeding and the puerperium. I sing and accompany myself with the ukulele in some songs, in others with the accordion. I loop and play with sounds: the voice, the lyre, the flute. I sing to heal, I sing to heal myself, I sing to heal us, accept us, love us and feel well.
