Veio melds alt-rock’s anthemic allure to the exhilarating adventurism of prog metal like few before them. With sophomore album Vitruvian, due on June 19, the Portland trio is poised to translate massive grassroots acclaim into a significant mainstream presence. “This is our introduction to the masses and we put a lot of time into perfecting it the way we wanted it,” says bassist/vocalist Kris Lewis. “This new album is a step forward for us in experimentation with synth programming, lyrical complexity, and songwriting in general.” The band has logged over 1 million streams and video views , while Vitruvian’s first single, “Flare of Defiance,” stormed the Billboard Rock Chart and entered Active Rock Radio’s Top 30 when it was released in 2019.
