Mumbai-born, 20-year-old psychedelic trap artist vinayvvs stands as an anomaly in Indian Hip Hop. Aged 5, he moved to Poland with his parents due to financial difficulties. At 14, he discovered hip-hop and found inspiration in Travis Scott and Kanye West, motivating him to start producing. After discovering Hindi rap through DIVINE, vinayvvs picked up the mic at 15. He returned to Mumbai aged 15 and began recording music while in high school. In 2022, aged 17, vinayvvs moved to London through a scholarship to pursue a degree in business and geography, which he’s set to complete in 2025, before returning to Mumbai.
vinayvvs is a graduate from the Travis Scott and Kanye West school of maximalist soundscapes where songs create gigantic, lush and cinematic atmospheres. He combines this eclectic sonic landscape with psychedelic production, introspective lyricism and ambient, heavily layered vocals. With creative passions ranging beyond music, vinayvvs has expressed deep interest in fashion, film, and architecture. These interests translated into his own fashion house, vvs [Gosher], blending gothic streetwear with avant-garde high fashion. Additionally, vinayvvs plans to direct short films to accompany his projects and express concepts, themes, and stories visually.
