Léa Dupuis is a French Canadian composer and flautist. In July 2020, she launched her very first album “Far Away”. Since then, she has produced 6 other albums and 3 singles. Having a great passion for the flute, she works mainly to integrate this instrument into different types of musics, such as electronic, experimental or ambient music.
Léa Dupuis is a multi-instrumentalist. She frequently uses the transverse flute, the recorder, the Celtic harp, the electric bass, the piano, the accordion as well as the voice in order to give maximum authenticity to her creations through acoustic instruments. Versatile by nature, she masters several facets of musical production. Composer and musician, she also records, edits and mixes her albums.
She also worked on several projects, mainly on audio books, albums, short films and animated films.
Having Asperger Syndrome, Léa doesn’t have a typical way of creating music. The writing process is usually something more structured to her. The inspiration takes place mostly during the recording sessions, where she can express herself directly with her instrument (mainly the flute and the Celtic harp). (To learn more about her creative process, you can follow her on Facebook and Instragram.)
