Our EP Catastrophical is out now!
Junodef, a Swedish-born London-based band, is renowned for crafting dark dreamscapes and haunting harmonies that seamlessly blend doomsday pop and art rock.
As a three-piece ensemble with a rotating drummer, the band was originally formed by Karin Grönkvist (guitar/vocals) and Tyra Örnberg (bass/vocals) during their high school days in Lund. They were later joined by drummer and best friend, Norea, who they recently bid farewell to.
Having relocated to the UK in 2016, Junodef have shared the stage with Editors across Europe and supported notable acts such as Blonde Redhead, Emma Ruth Rundle, and Goat Girl.
Whilst establishing themselves as a standout on London's live scene, Junodef released a series of singles, including ‘Diane’s Robot’,' ‘Eurovision 2004,' and 'time froze when i told you i love you,' before unveiling their highly anticipated EP, 'Catastrophical,' in 2023. This six-track masterpiece delves into societal and individual reflections, recorded in the serene Welsh countryside with sound engineer Joy Stacey (Arcade Fire, The Smile) and mixed by the legendary metal producer Russ Russell (Napalm Death, At The Gates). The EP garnered support from 6Music, BBC Introducing, and DIY magazine, solidifying Junodef as an emerging band not to be ignored.
