American hip hop group 504 Boyz, from New Orleans, Louisiana, named for the city's area code. The original lineup included Master P (as "Nino Brown"), Mystikal (as "G. Money"), Silkk the Shocker (as "Vito"), C-Murder, and Krazy. They released their debut album Goodfellas in May 2000 under No Limit Records/Priority Records, which featured the hit single "Wobble Wobble". This "bounce-flavored song" peaked at number 17 on the U.S. charts. In 2002, following a rebranding of No Limit to New No Limit, new members Choppa, Currensy, Afficial, and T-Bo joined the group for their second album Ballers. This release produced the minor hit single "Tight Whips". C-Murder's arrest in 2001 for murdering a fan marked a significant disruption. After Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans in 2005, 504 Boyz released their final album We Gon' Bounce Back, a benefit compilation under Guttar Records.
