Antínoo is a Brazilian artist, based in São Paulo. Born in Goiânia, Goiás, countryside of Brazil, he started writing his first songs when he was still a teenager, influenced by Brazilian musical movements such as Bossa Nova and Tropicalismo. Years later, he graduated in Popular Music Studies and grew up using music as a language to express his experiences and reflections on the world and human relationships.
In 2020, Antínoo released his first authorial work, the album "O Sol Nasceu Pra Todos", with eight tracks, a very miscellaneous record exploring different genders, but targeting Brazilian Popular Music elements as the creative stuff. Besides these Brazilian trademarks as the backbone for the album, Antínoo also explored Global North musical genders, such as Synth-pop, New Wave, and Art Rock.
The singer-songwriter released in 2021 a live concert version of the album 'O Sol Nasceu Pra Todos' at Estúdio Som Livre, which brought new arrangements with a band formed by six women.
In 2022, Antínoo, endowed with a restless spirit, releases the Extended Play, "O Sol Nasceu Pra Todos_RAVEZITADO," featuring remix versions of songs from his debut album, crafted by renowned Brazilian DJs from the House and Techno scene - each track accompanied by a psychedelic VR music video. In 2023, besides the double single, he also unveils the songs "2016 (Riot)" and "O Som do Amor (Psicotrópico)."
In the same year, 2023, Antínoo presents his own versions of songs by artists Marisa Monte and Yoko Ono, exploring different facets of his musical identity: bossa nova and electronic music. In August of that year, he releases "Púrpura," the first single from his second studio album titled "Antínoo Passa o Recado," produced by Adriano Cintra, former member of CSS. The album delves into various genres, such as samba-reggae, house music, dub, rock, and disco.
