Born in Singapore, raised in Hong Kong and the UK, and then subsequently spent his later years in the US studying at Stanford University, MJ a.k.a MMXJ is one who has travelled the world and seen it all. A self-taught musician, he picked up the guitar at 8-years-old and the piano at twelve, with early influences being Jason Mraz and John Mayer. His drive led him to becoming a finalist in the 3rd season of Singapore Idol. He began taking his love for music even further by exploring his sounds in Electronic Dance Music after watching Alesso & Swedish House Mafia perform at the renowned Coachella Arts and Music Festival in California. MMXJ is currently working on a series of upcoming releases crossing the genres of Progressive House to Dubstep that will showcase his talent for composing irresistibly catchy hooks.
