Born 10th December 1996, Wendy Mvula (better known as Nova Amandlah) is a Zambian born and South African raised songstress who is not only talented and skilled with her craft but is also a seasoned entertainment personality and remarkable actress. Being raised in a background as diverse as hers; rich in Zambian culture, anchored on South African rhythms and guided by Nigerian influences, Nova Amandlah has cultivated a presence (a voice) that cannot be denied. Going by her first name (Sparrow), the songstress dropped her first single, City Comes Alive which garnered attention from many. Leading with this, the songstress got to work with some of Zambia’s Industry giants (tlow, Cream Dollar, Stevo, Slim the hit maker, Dj Mzengaman) which let young Sparrow grow into her own and become the talented star that we know today as Nova Amandlah. The rising musician come to prominence and recognition when she was asked to feature as a resounding artist on Stevo’s, Safe Album. She also did Bvs for the Kwacha Music Awards in 2019. With amazing vocals, discipline and a determined mindset, Nova has able to span a 7-year career filled with countless collaborations, musical projects, competitions and creative opportunities. All this garnering the recognition she deserves. In 2020, Nova was the only Zambian female musician to be nominated for the Afrimusic song contest.
