Umair Ali, is a Pakistan/UAE based singer-songwriter currently working towards his Debut Album "Before Dawn". Drawing inspiration from, diving deep into ideas of huge sonic spaces, folk and minimal electronic elements, surrounding himself with floating sounds and abstract instrumentation lets him build a bed to lay down the perfect story on. Growing up exposed to the household collection of music from the 60s all through the 80s, Beatles to Nusrat Fateh Ali to Elton John, Eric Clapton to Aretha Franklin to Jeff Buckley.
Umair and his younger brother always had an unusual curiosity for music and sonic exploration. Instruments filling the house and some forced piano lessons at an early age, although a lost cause at the time, helped him find a space in music today.
