Waylander, a Northern Irish folk metal band, was founded in 1993 in Armagh by brothers Ciaran and Dermot O’Hagan. Their second demo, Dawning of an Age, released in 1996, gained them recognition in the folk metal scene. Waylander signed with Century Media and released their debut album, Reawakening Pride Once Lost, in 1998. Despite internal issues and label problems, they continued to release albums including The Light, The Dark and the Endless Knot (2001), Honour Among Chaos (2008), Kindred Spirits (2012) and Eriú's Wheel (2019). The band has also performed at significant festivals like the Bloodstock Open Air and Day of Darkness.
