From London via Lagos, SISTER COOKIE takes you on an eclectic excursion into the roots & fruits of black music. Old sounds, new tricks. Sensuous, seductive and moody.
As well as possessing a distinctive voice that's tender and sweet when it needs to be, she is a self-taught pianist and composer of honest and raw songs about pain, heartbreak, suffering - all that bad (meaning good) stuff.
Having scooped the prestigious Record Store Day Unsigned 2020 award, her debut album 'In The Blue Corner' was released as a limited edition run on turquoise sparkle vinyl in November 2021, ahead of a full physical and digital release which has now been announced as coming out via The Liquid Label, including a new pressing on dusk blue vinyl. Accompanying the release she will be embarking on her debut UK headline tour including a date at London's MOTH Club on the day of album release, Fri 6 May.
