Tonton Lusambo is a Congolese musician who began his career in the 1970s. Passionate about music from a young age, he taught himself to play the guitar and sang in numerous orchestras in Kinshasa, including Mopero Wa Maloba, Jiengaka, Bipoli and Viva La Musika.
Over the years, Tonton Lusambo has developed his own unique and original music, which he calls Tonton SAMBO. His writing style is different from that of other artists, which has earned him a reputation as an outstanding musician. He writes songs inspired by the middle of the night, always accompanied by his notebook and pen.
Currently living in Goma, Tonton Lusambo has no specific plans for the future, but he continues to write and search for the right sound. He hopes to find a patron or producer to help him realize his projects and offer his audience even more spectacular performances.
Despite the difficulties, Tonton Lusambo remains hopeful and confident in the future. His musical career is exceptional and his prospects are full of promise. He remains true to himself, avoids plagiarism and continues to offer unique and original music. He has toured extensively throughout Africa, performing in countries such as South Africa, France, Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, and Sudan. His music blends elements of Rumba, World Music, Afro House, Amapiano, Afrobeat, etc.
