Dally Kimoko, born in 1955 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, started his professional music career in 1968 with Les bébés. In the mid-1970s, he played with Ozana and later joined African All Stars, collaborating with artists like Sam Mangwana and Lokassa Ya Mbongo. Kimoko's career advanced significantly after moving to France in 1982, where he worked with Syllart Productions and became a sought-after guitarist. He collaborated with prominent artists such as Abeti Masikini, Shimita, and Kanda Bongo Man, contributing to hits like "Double doublé" and "Papy sodolo". In 1988, his guitar work on Zitany Neil's "Marcory Gazoil" became a major success. Kimoko's solo albums include Adieu Célie (1985), Titina (1987), and Bon vent (2008). He has worked with over 300 artists throughout his career, making significant contributions to African music.
