Biography

Jubin Nautiyal is an award-winning Indian singer, mostly recognized for his extensive work with Bollywood film soundtracks. Born in Dehradun, he became interested in music from a very early age, inspired by his father’s love of singing. Jubin Nautiyal further developed his musical education at Dehradun’s Welham Boys’ School, where he studied classical music and learnt how to play several instruments. After relocating to Mumbai in 2007 to attend college, he spent the next few years honing his craft and travelling through India, studying the country’s diverse musical traditions. During that time, he also participated in the music reality show The X Factor. His official debut arrived in 2014 with the song “Ek Mulakat,” which was featured on the film Sonali Cable. In 2015, he recorded the track “Zindagi Kuch Toh Bata” for the film Bajrangi Bhaijaan and received the Rising Musical Star Award at the Zee Business Awards. The song also earned him a win at the 8th Mirchi Music Awards in the category of Upcoming Male Vocalist of the Year in 2016. Subsequently, Jubin Nautiyal continued to collaborate with the film industry in movies such as Kaabil (2017), Hate Story 4 (2018), and Kabir Singh (2019), as well as releasing his own commercial singles. The new decade found Jubin Nautiyal at the peak of his powers, providing the theme songs for several films and lending his voice to the 2021 T-Series-presented "Lut Gaye," whose accompanying video featured actors Emraan Hashmi and Yukti Thareja.
