Kimmie Ray Willingham, an American singer-songwriter also known as Kimmie Rhodes, was born on March 6, 1954, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Her formal music career started in 1979 when she moved to Austin and partnered with Joe Gracey and Bobby Earl Smith to form the band Kimmie Rhodes & The Jackalope Brothers. Throughout her career, she released several albums, including "Angels Get The Blues" (1989), and produced three musicals. Notable collaborations include duets with Willie Nelson on his album Just One Love and a duet CD, "Picture in a Frame." Rhodes has also appeared on television shows such as Austin City Limits, Late Night With David Letterman and her songs have been featured on multiple film soundtracks.
