Angel Dweh is a award-nominated Liberian-American singer, recording artist, songwriter, composer, dancer, and actor. Born on November 14, 1999 in Monrovia, Liberia to Liberian parents, and later immigrated to the United States.
Angel is known for incorporating multiple genres in his songwriting such as Pop, Afropop/Afrobeat, and R&B. His effervescent music embodies a truly unique sound that represents his personality and his home country of Liberia. Angel’s distinctive vocal style in the Afropop/Afrobeats music genre has earned him the title of “Afro-Prince.”
Since emerging on the music scene in 2020 with the hit singles "Love a Good Thing", "Salud", "Hard for Me" and "Flexin,” Angel has been grabbing the attention of critics both locally and internationally. His single, “Kokona” was one of the most played songs on independent radio stations in Nigeria, Liberia and Tanzania. On the Master Class Radio show in Canada, another hit single, "Salud" ranked within the top 5 songs. Angel’s music video for "Hard for Me" placed in the top three on Hot TV in Liberia. Grabbing the attention of celebrities and big names in the music industry and beyond comes easy to the rising star. As a member of the Atollo program at his high school, Magic Johnson challenged Angel to chest bump with him. During his freshman year at LA’s Hussian College In Studio, Angel’s freestyle dance caught the attention of Travis Payne, choreographer for Michael Jackson’s hit “This Is It.” The seed for pursuing music production was planted by a question asked by Leslie Brathwaite, sound engineer for Cardi B’s album Invasion of Privacy at a chance meeting after a tour at Full Sail University in Florida. An ad that Angel placed on Instagram, grabbed the attention of Frontrvnners, a Canadian clothing brand who invited and signed him as a brand ambassador.
