2008, at the age of 15, RANZA started DJing Latin parties throughout Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (the DMV). Although his brand is certainly rooted in Latin music, his sets blended elements from dance, moombahton (a genre native to his hometown) and bass music. As he began to producing beats, RANZA moved to Los Angeles in 2016 where he pushed the global bass movement to new heights; throwing parties including Sucia Bonita & Moombah Sessions under the company name FADE L.A. ran by himself and d.painter, his hometown friend. Dedicated to help give opportunities and exposure to up and coming artists, these events quickly grew attention and attracted local and international djs/artists.
As the successful events grew so did the headliners. He was soon sharing the stage with a long list of the industry’s top talent including Dave Nada (Creator of Moombahton), ETC! ETC!, Valentino Khan, Sak Noel, Happy Colors, El Dusty and more! This Led to working in the recording studio with some of the best in the industry.
Singles like "El Pueblo" have been in rotation on artist mix shows like PITBULL’S Globalization Sessions on SiriusXM Radio. His release “Hands On Your Knees”, featuring Reggae star Richie Loop, was quickly picked up to be featured in an Amazon Prime TV ad running internationally. RANZA has since set eyes on innovating EDM styles with Dominican dembow, baile funk, & reggaeton through collaborations with Jenn Morel (Universal Music Group), and LAKIKDA (El Jefe Records) preparing for his highly anticipated “Pray For Perreo” EP.
While creating buzz for the EP, Ranza began establishing his label, “Pray For Perreo”, which quickly became a hit amongst people in the Latin underground. Thanks to help from scene influencers across Instagram, the labels merch began to pop up in club and festival crowds from Miami to Mexico helping propel online sales and build up for the labels launch. “Pray For Perreo” merch alone has took on a life of its own, again, creating a lane of success setting Ranza apart, grabbing the attention of industries beyond music.
