Yona Smith is an Apulian rapper and DJ with raw and dark lyrics, full of joints and references with a cynical but passionate writing style and with sounds halfway between the boom bap and the new wave. Born in 1987, real name Domenico Convertino, he approaches hip-hop culture in his golden age, when the raw rhymes of Cor Veleno in Italy and the stories of the Mobb Depp ghetto in the USA are the masters. His path, however, is full of musical contaminations due to the various environments frequented above all as a DJ and producer of electronic music. He has several singles on digital stores that tell his world about him and his way of living it. Songs with different sounds and different moods that in some cases tell a story directly as in "Living" produced by Frank Barone. In other cases, however, you have to read between the lines to understand the story and its meaning, as in the case of #Stories or Hanamura.
