Paola Maria Augusta Felix-del Medico, known professionally as Paola Del Medico, was born on 5 October 1950 in Saint-Gall, Switzerland. She is a Swiss singer who has primarily performed in German and French. Her music career began with her debut single "Stille Wasser die sind tief" in 1969. That same year, she represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest with "Bonjour, bonjour", finishing in fifth place. Her breakthrough came with the release of her album Die grossen Erfolge in 1970, which included notable songs like "Für uns beide (Green Green Trees)". Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, she released several albums, including Blue Bayou (1978), Lieder die ich liebe (1980), and Liebe Ist Nicht Nur Ein Wort (1981). She represented Switzerland again at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1980 with "Cinéma", finishing fourth. Between 1981 and 1990, she co-hosted the candid camera-style show Verstehen Sie Spaß? for the German TV station ARD alongside her husband Kurt Felix. In 2025, she brought "Cinéma" back to life for the Eurovision Song Contest grand final.
