The Pinker Tones is an alternative pop band from Barcelona, Spain, founded in 2001 by Salvador Rey and Alex Llovet, known as Mister Furia and Professor Manso. Their music is an eclectic blend of soul, funk, lounge, and electronic styles, with lyrics in multiple languages. They released their first album, Pink Connection, in 2003, followed by the worldwide debut The BCN Connection in 2004. In 2006, the duo issued The Million Colour Revolution, which reached Number 1 on the EMusic overall album chart and the top 10 on the iTunes Top Latin Albums chart. The group gained wider recognition when their songs “The Whistling Song” and “Sampleame” were included in the FIFA video game series. In 2009, they won the Premios de la Música award for Best Electronic Song. Since 2012, they have focused on the children's project Rolf & Flor, releasing several books and albums including Rolf & Flor in London. Although they announced their retirement in 2014, the group has continued to release soundtracks and collaborative projects.
