Recording artiste Posh Morris is described by several Jamaican industry moguls as ‘lyrically
inclined’. The artiste who reigns from Eastern Kingston & Portmore Jamaica prides herself on being ‘versatile’ as she fuses several urban genres to create unique sounds.
Born Jeanette Morris, she had a love for music as early as her childhood days. She studied at The
Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts in Jamaica, where she majored in Performing Arts, Music, Acting, and Dub Poetry. After graduating, she pursued music full time.
She wears multiple caps as a recording artiste, entrepreneur, and a video and music producer. She also ventured in acting, making an appearance in the popular Jamaican movie, ‘Ghett’a Life’.
In 2021, she entered the popular freestyle ‘Datz Easy Challenge’ hosted by Aidonia on the ‘Style
a Style Riddim’ produced by Chimney Records. Her freestyle impressed the masses and went
viral , which received support from local and international media, garnering a solid fanbase which she dubbed, ‘Top Tier Nation’. She has fans worldwide particularly in Barbados, Guyana, the United Kingdom, North America, and several countries in Africa.
In 2022, Aidonia invited her on stage to perform at ‘New Rules Festival’, where she received
remarkable feedback from the audience and created another viral moment. Soon after, she
performed at ‘Reggae Sumfest’ This momentum helped Posh Morris to excel beyond the Jamaican
market.
Posh Morris wants to be remembered for her ‘lyrical prowess’, and ‘stellar stage presence’. It is
her intention to cross over to the international market and is open to exploring multiple genres.
