Kabali Kapotwe whose artist name is Thiiird3ye (pronounced Third-eye) is a Dance/Electronic Music Producer from Lusaka, Zambia. He describes his name Thiiird3ye as "comes from the word third eye which is the invisible eye on our forehead which provides perception beyond ordinary sight or clear conscious. Relating to my music the aim is to give a clear conscious to my listeners as they either reflect, relate or feel inspired by the feeling in my beats or lyrics in my music. No matter what the listening experience is, the goal is to be beyond what is ordinary.
Thiiird3ye's music style is a combination of Ambient soundscapes, Groovy basslines inspired by disco music. He fuses that with organic percussions and that together gives off a nostalgic and upbeat feel to the listener.
He started creating music by the age of 11 playing around with a midi keyboard and FL Studio 9 which his older brothers introduced him to. He describes the experience as, "Started off like I was painting but eventually began to get talented at it." His musical inspirations are Calvin Harris, Baauer, Avicii, Flume and Pharrell Williams. Thiiird3ye is a passionate artist focused on quality and uniqueness when it comes to his own music or when it comes to collaborating with others. His main aim is to get international recognition and represent his country all around the world. He is on to something special and we are here for it.
