'Born by the river in a little tent' ('A change is gonna come' - Sam Cooke). The radio blaring, as an intelligent little girl with a progressive eye-disease sings & dances around the house. Soaking up 60’s & 70’s soul, jazz, funk, Afro-Latin and Indian music, dancing before she could walk and singing since the age of 10, Sadie grew into a natural on stage. Driven by her eye-disease and determined to achieve her goals while she still could, Sadie went on to study Business Economics in The Netherlands. She soon became an executive for multinationals and had a great career, till the visual impairment became too heavy to bare. Sadie crashed! The only thing that got her through, was music.
She had found love in composer/producer/pianist Theodorus M. Boddeke and
followed her spiritual path to music and so Sadie’s Choice was born, from the soul!
Releasing the debut EP SouLounge (2019) with Sadie’s interpretation of songs that once helped her heal and the single Diamonds (2020) about her determination to be happy against all odds... Sadie started to play live with her amazing band.
In 2021, the Corona-crisis presented a great opportunity for Sadie to study Lyric Writing at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and the seed was planted to write her own album.
Putting her life-story onto music, the upcoming singer-songwriter album 'The Journey', is to be released in 2025.
After singles No More and ‘Warrior Woman’ dropped in 2024, the 3rd single 'I Fly' will be released on 27th June 2025.
