Millane Fernandez was born on July 23, 1986 in Jakarta, Indonesia. She is a German-Indonesian pop singer who received her first recording contract with BMG Berlin Musik GmbH/Hansa in spring 2001 at the age of just 14 and became known on the German pop scene as a teenager. After her family moved to Hamburg in 1998, she attended the Harburg comprehensive school and recorded her debut single "Boom Boom" (2001), produced by Dieter Bohlen, as part of a casting by the Bild newspaper; the song sold over 110,000 copies and remained in the German charts for 18 weeks. In the same year, another single, "I Miss You (Dam Dubi Dam)" (2001), is released, the first edition of which sells out quickly and is re-released. At the end of 2001, she parted ways with her producer and withdrew from the singles business for a while. In 2003, she takes on the leading female role in the musical "Time After Time" at the Delphi Showpalast Hamburg and also appears on stage with gospel choirs and artists such as Dave Dee, Mungo Jerry and Graham Harrison. In 2004, she releases "What a Good Man" (2004) under a new team and label, but does not achieve a chart position. From 2011, her singles "You Broke My Heart" (2011) and "Just You And I" (2012) are released on the Indonesian label Aquarius Musikindo; in 2014, she records the Indonesian version of "The world is ours" (2014) together with David Correy for the FIFA World Cup. Millane is occasionally engaged as a jury member on the Indonesian casting show Rising Star.
