Waldo's People was formed in Finland in 1998 by frontman Marko Reijonen, known professionally as Waldo, who was born on 27 March 1967. The group entered the Finnish dance scene with the single “Lose Control” in 2008, followed by “Back Again” the same year. The album Paranoid was issued in February 2009, followed by the single “New Vibration”in June 2009, both under the Sony BMG label. The group represented Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow with “Lose Control”, qualifying for the final and placing twenty‑fifth. The compilation Back Again: The Greatest Hits was released in 2008, consolidating the band’s earlier successes. Subsequent releases included the singles “Jackpot” in 2010 and “U Drive Me Crazy” in 1998. Waldo's People remained active through the early 2010s, contributing to the Finnish electronic dance scene with a series of club‑oriented tracks.
