Kai Niemann was born on February 8, 1978 in Sangerhausen. He is a German singer, songwriter and musician who is best known for his German-language pop and rock. He first gained attention in 2001 when he released the single "Im Osten" (2001) under the name "Niemann", which reached number 4 in the German singles charts and sold around 300,000 copies; the song was awarded a gold record. The song later appears on his third studio album Die Welt ist ein Irrenhaus (2001). In the years that followed, Niemann continued his musical activities, also appearing on television programs such as "Die Rettungsflieger", "Die Harald Schmidt Show" and "Volle Kanne". He later founded the band 108 Fahrenheit, with which he combined folk and rock elements. In addition to Kai Niemann on vocals and guitar, the members of 108 Fahrenheit include Marco Pfennig (banjo, vocals), Adrian Kehlbacher (double bass, vocals), Alex Henke (electric guitar), Thomas Hübel (acoustic guitar) and Friedo Steinke (drums). With this line-up, he released the album Mein Herz (2016) in 2016. 108 Fahrenheit released the album Dein Herz (2022) in 2022, which included the single "Hab keine Angst" (2022). Kai Niemann is also a singer in the all-star band Faelder, with whom the album Unheilbar (2018) was released in 2018; Faelder features Henning Verlage, Sebastian Lange, Adrian Kehlbacher and Florian Speckardt.
