Justin Guarini, born Justin Eldrin Bell on October 28, 1978, in Columbus, Georgia, is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. Raised primarily by his mother and stepfather in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Guarini began his musical journey at age four with the Atlanta Boy Choir. He later joined the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Boys Choir and performed in various school choirs and an award-winning a cappella group. In 2002, Guarini gained national attention as the runner-up on the first season of American Idol, where he impressed judges including Simon Cowell with his vocal abilities. Following his American Idol stint, Guarini signed with RCA Records and released his debut album in 2003, coinciding with his appearance in the film From Justin to Kelly.
