Joy Charity Enriquez, known professionally as Joy Enriquez, was born on June 6, 1978, in Whittier, California and is an American singer and actress. She began her career with the release of her debut single "How Can I Not Love You" in 1999. Her first album, Joy Enriquez, was released on September 10, 2001, under LaFace/Arista Records. In April 2004, she married record producer Rodney Jerkins, who had worked on her debut album. Enriquez's career took a significant turn when she decided to shift her musical direction towards inspirational and contemporary Christian music. Her second studio album, Atmosphere of Heaven, was released on March 7, 2006, under the independent label JoyfulChild, which was formed by Jerkins and Enriquez. She contributed to various soundtracks, including "Boom Chika Boom" for the Our Family Wedding soundtrack in 2010 and "Beatz Be Rockin'" for the Nickelodeon series iCarly. In 2013, her reality series House of Joy premiered on NUVOtv, followed by the release of an EP of the same name on September 10, 2013. Enriquez released two digital singles in 2015: "Hallelujah" featuring Lindsey Stirling and "Shine" featuring her daughter Heavenly Joy. Her third studio album, The Call, was released on January 15, 2016, under Lifestyle Music Group.
