Supa Squad present their second studio album: “N.R.G. (No Rules Given)”
Comprising 13 original tracks, the project marks a key moment in the duo’s career, embracing their identity with no filters or compromises — an album made without rules, without pre-set formulas, and with total creative freedom, just as the title suggests.
Recorded between Portugal and Brazil, the album soaks up the cultural, rhythmic, and emotional influences of the group’s travels, collaborations, and lived experiences. Throughout the 13 tracks, styles such as afrobeats, dancehall, amapiano, Brazilian funk, and hip-hop intertwine, combined with lyrics in Portuguese, Creole, English, and Jamaican Patois. Each song has its own theme or tells a unique story, but they all share one thing in common: energy — a vibrant pulse that crosses borders and connects different musical worlds and people to the music.
“N.R.G.” is not just an acronym for No Rules Given, it’s also the phonetic expression of the word “energy,” a central element in Supa Squad’s music and attitude since the beginning of their journey. This album showcases their artistic versatility, ranging from romantic tracks to bold sounds, self-affirmation anthems, reflections on their roots, and even spiritual moments — all delivered with their signature sound, where production, melody, and identity move as one.
