Shooting At Unarmed Men was a Welsh musical group formed in 1999, featuring Jon Chapple on vocals and guitar, Steve Morgan on drums, and Simon Jarvis on bass. The band's initial lineup included Simon Alexander on bass and vocals. Their first release was the mini-album Soon There Will Be…, released on Too Pure Records in October 2005. This was followed by their second album, Yes! Tinnitus!, in May 2006. After Chapple moved to Melbourne, Australia, he reformed the band with local musicians Tom Cooper and Julian Tovey. The group continued to perform and release music, including their third album, Triptych, in March 2008. Their final album, With The Youthful Energy of a Zealot, was released in January 2009. Shooting At Unarmed Men played their last show at The Tote in Melbourne on the same day as the release of their final album.
