Diary of a Loverboy out now, worldwide!
Raymond-Rex Oloyede popularly known as Rayrex is a Nigerian based Afrobeats artist amongst other things. Having started music as far back as 2012 as an undergraduate, Rayrex has built his sound impeccably while also working on his other passions which include photography and graphic design. He draws inspiration from his life experiences which is evident is his first body of work, "Diary of a Loverboy" which dropped just recently and is a story of his life experiences on the dating scene. He also draws inspiration from top afrobeats artists before him who have paved the way such as Wizkid, D’banj, Burna Boy, Olamide, Davido and the rest.
As an artist, Rayrex has shown a preference for collaborating with familiar faces such as Soultee who featured on "No Be Love" and Ezzie-Wonder who featured on "Sabrina", both on the "Diary of a Loverboy" EP. Away from the EP, his other collaborations include a stunning verse on "Indaboski" which was a joint effort from the Happy Boiz Crew, his current music group with acts like Alien Lamba, Drae, Morello and BryanVibez. He also featured on "Vuvuzela" alongside Extreme Beatz and Ezzie-Wonder, both of the Cashew Boiz Gang.
With the release of "Diary of a Loverboy", Rayrex hopes to use the EP as a launching pad to greater things and a blueprint for his progression into the Nigerian music industry and the music world at large.
