Alberto Fortis, born on June 3, 1955, in Domodossola, Italy, is an Italian singer-songwriter. During his school years, Fortis began playing drums and later transitioned to piano. He then moved to Rome and secured his first record deal with IT under Vincenzo Micocci. His debut album Alberto Fortis (1979) included notable tracks such as "Milano e Vincenzo" and "La sedia di lillà" and received widespread praise from critics. The following year, he released his second album Tra demonio e santità. In 1984, Fortis collaborated with Claudio Dentes on the album El niño, which featured contributions from Lucio Fabbri and Demo Morselli. He also composed the soundtrack for the film Cool Crime (1999). Subsequent albums include Dò l’anima (2014) and Con Te (2016).
