Midi, Maxi & Efti was a Swedish musical group formed in 1991 by twin sisters Tsedey “Midi” Berhanu (born 1976), Selam “Maxi” Berhanu (born 1976), and their friend Freweyni “Efti” Teclehaimanot (born 1976). The trio, refugees from Ethiopia and Eritrea who arrived in Sweden in 1985, met in the Stockholm suburb of Akalla and began performing with African‑influenced pop sounds. Their self‑titled album Midi, Maxi & Efti was released on 17 December 2007, spawning the singles "Bad Bad Boys" (speaking at number 11 in Sweden), "Ragga Steady" (peaking at number 22 in Sweden), and "Masenko" (peaking at number 39 in Sweden). The album was produced by members of Army of Lovers and supported by a video for "Ragga Steady" directed by Frank Sacramento. Following tours in the United States, South Africa and France, the group disbanded after a brief period of activity.
