ANOREXIA ISAN is an alternative rock band with punk and metal influences, formed by John "Johnny Parrot Joe" Bustamante in December 2015, in Caracas, Venezuela.
Their debut album, DECYBELIA, was released in 2016. Their second album, PARAZETAMOL (which obtained the TRASCENDENCIA AWARDS as album of the year) was released in 2017, and features Anders Bomberg and Lasse Sjöblom of the goth rock band LOST IN TEARS from Finland on the song AN EVIL FACE.
The band, released their third album THE SAD ALBUM in 2019 (in which are featured Lindsay McDougall of the Australian Punk Band FRENZAL RHOMB in the song FIND ME and Euge Valovirta of the Sweden Metal Act CYHRA in the song WE ARE THE WEAK).
As a single for THE SAD, the band released a video for the song A MORNING OVERTURE, which is related to Manic Depression issues. The video, which was directed by Erick Alarcón in Cartagena, Colombia, speaks from the perspective of a person diagnosed with the disease, and has an unexpected ending, which tries to give everyone a positive message. This video was selected as finalist in the SER Film Festival 2020.
The band released the RECYBELIA EP in 2020, and is currently signed with Neptune Cross Publishing in Washington D.C.
