Tim Garland (born 19 October 1966 in London Borough of Redbridge, Greater London) is a British saxophonist, composer, keyboard player, flutist and clarinetist whose work spans jazz and classical music. Tim Garland began on clarinet and piano before taking up saxophone at fifteen, later studying jazz and classical composition at the Guildhall School of Music. His first recording, Points on the Curve (1988), marked the start of a prolific career. He released Enter the Fire (1997) and Made by Walking (2000), followed by Lighthouse (2012) and One (2016), the latter earning Album of the Year in the Jazzwise Readers' Poll. Tim Garland collaborated with Chick Corea, Bill Bruford and the Royal Northern Sinfonia, and in 2009 received a Grammy Award for his contribution to The New Crystal Silence. Subsequent releases include Songs to the North Sky (2014), Return to the Fire (2015), Weather Walker (2018), ReFocus (2020), Moment of Departure (2024) and Mezzo with Geoffrey Keezer (2026).
