Charlie Austen was born in 1st of March of 1993 in the “Big Apple of South” - how the Filmmaker fondly call the city of São Paulo - where he was born and raised. In 2014 after 3 semesters of journalism studies he dropped out of the college and moved into Philadelphia, PA, United States for almost a year. In 2016, he moved to Doha, Qatar and worked for the 5-star middle-east-leading airline Qatar Airways. In 2018, back to Brazil, he started his studies in filmmaking at a prestigious university in São Paulo, but later on, he dropped it all together, deciding for diving right into the film industry with the skills he had gathered that year. Also in 2018, he worked as an assistant to the executive Production of the short-film “O Poeta”. Charlie Austen’s debut film in a directorial role “Ben The Musical” is available on Vimeo for viewing and is set to compete for a slot in renowned international film festivals later this year. He currently has two other screenplays written ready to be produced and is currently developing a 8-episode tv show. Charlie Austen’s upcoming debut album, “Songs To You From Watershed” is scheduled to hit the streaming platforms in 2020, during the American summer. Charlie lives in São Paulo, Brazil, with his other sibling and his parents.
