Biography

Nabil Sahli (August 16, 1978), also known as Nessbeal, NE2S, or just Ness, is a French rapper of Moroccan descent. Born in the western Parisian suburbs of Boulogne-Billancourt, he moved to Val-de-Marne right after his parents' divorce and founded the hip-hop collective Dicidens in 1996. Following the success of the group's first album HLM Rezidants in 2004, Nessbeal took part in the rap act 92I alongside Lunatic, la Malekal Morte, and Sir Doum's, and featured on Booba's first two singles. In 2006, he issued his studio debut La Mélodie des Briques, which quickly attained cult status in the Gallic underground hip-hop scene. Follow-up album Rois Sans Couronne (2008) reached Number 18 on the French charts and included cameos by Wallen, K-Reen, Le Rat Luciano, and Cheba Maria. Entirely produced by Skread, his third full-length NE2S (2010) climbed to Number 13 on the SNEP Albums Chart thanks to singles like "Ça Bouge Pas" and "Ma Grosse" featuring Orelsan. However, the rapper took a break from his music career shortly after the release of 2011's Sélection Naturelle, only showing up in a series of tracks by other artists. Preceded by the singles "Le Dem" with Zkr, "Zone Euro," and "Nuage Qui Passe" with PLK, his long-awaited fourth LP Zonard des Étoiles peaked at Number 49 in Belgium in 2022.
