Active since 2018, created on the edge of a territory called the “cold lands”, LAST ADDICTION delivers an artistic universe full of contrasts, a dark and definitive vision of the future, but served on a silver platter! Indeed, if the lyrics put an (almost) final point on the future of the planet and humanity, the musical style is a unique mix, a journey between modern heavy and metalcore, in which melancholic or extreme touches are distilled. Surprising, disconcerting and unclassifiable, L.A. seeks this “emotional elevator” to captivate, and doesn't hesitate to break codes, including mixing clean vocals, screams and growls.
Since 2019, the band has been playing a string of dates, including the legendary WACKEN OPEN AIR in 2022, PLANE R FEST and LEYMFEST in 2023. In live reports, or in the pit, the terms “live band”, “big slap” or “good mood” are often used, probably the best way to exorcise the worries expressed in the lyrics!
LAST ADDICTION released their 1st self-titled EP in November 2019, and a 1st album (Inner Abyss) in April 2021. Since then, 4 explosive singles have been released, marking a further evolution in the band's production, and clearly announcing the musical color of the second album, “DOWNFALL”, to be released on May 27, 2024. But....with L.A., surprises are never far away, as evidenced by the sumptuous artwork, an apocalyptic painting with very “black” accents!
