The Androids, an Australian rock band, was formed with guitarist Tim Henwood, originally from The Superjesus, alongside members Sam Grayson, Matt Tomlinson, and Marty Grech. Their breakthrough came in 2002 with the release of their single "Do It With Madonna", which peaked at number 4 on the Australia ARIA Singles Chart and number 15 on the UK Singles Chart. This success was followed by the release of their self-titled debut album The Androids on April 9, 2003, which reached number 36 on the ARIA Albums Chart. The band's music video for "Do It With Madonna" featured drag queens dressed as various pop stars and won the ARIA Award for Best Video at the ARIA Music Awards of 2003. Despite the success of their debut single, subsequent releases such as "Here She Comes" and "Brand New Life" did not achieve the same level of commercial success. The Androids supported Pink on her I'm Not Dead Tour in Australia in 2007 and released their second album Outta Ya Mind later that year.
