Antonio Morelli, aka McFly, born in 1990 in Livorno, has dedicated himself from a young age to his greatest passion: music. He entered this world in 2006 by playing the guitar. Two years later, he founded the pop-rock band Baryonyx.
In 2013, he began studying modern electric guitar at the Lizard Music Academy. During these years, he collaborated with many artists, including Francesco Landucci, who worked as the artistic director in the production of several songs, especially in the creation of the Baryonyx album “Fuori il Blizzard.”
Tireless, curious, and always eager to challenge himself, in 2018 he began working on a new electronic instrumental music project. This led to the release of his first three electronic singles: “Let Me Swap” and “Dream Clouds” in 2019, and “Irish Soul” in 2020. These tracks are part of the album “Sound My Way,” released in November 2020.
Between 2021 and 2022, two singles were released that laid the foundation for a new artistic direction. The first, “Updown,” came out in September 2021 and blends funk with electronic music, featuring extended instrumental sections and a sung chorus. The second, “Special Guest,” released in May 2022, continues the funky and breakbeat sound but includes entirely sung lyrics.
In 2024, he began collaborating with the Italian label Soulgem Records, with which he released three new singles: “Midnight,” “Whispers,” and “Enud.”
2025 kicked off in a big way with the release of his new EP “By The Night”—five tracks with “the night” as their central theme.
