Mary McBride, born in Louisiana and raised in Washington D.C., is an American pop rock singer. She began her music career by performing in various venues across New York City, including Mercury Lounge and Bowery Ballroom. Her debut album Everything Seemed Alright was recorded on September 11, 2001, and released in 2002 through Bogan Records. McBride's song "No One's Gonna Love You Like Me" appeared in the 2005 film Brokeback Mountain. Subsequent albums include By Any Other Name (2004) and Every Day is a Holiday (2009). In 2011, she embarked on the Home Tour, performing at unconventional locations such as the Louisiana State Penitentiary and a Veterans Affairs hospital. McBride has also been recognized for her humanitarian work, which was profiled by MSNBC's Morning Joe in 2015.
