Justin Kauflin (b. 1986) was attracted to music from an early age, taking up the violin at the tender age of two, and subsequently distinguishing himself on the piano, an instrument for which he showed a precocious aptitude. Stricken by blindness at the age of eleven, he continued his musical studies at a high level at several universities. After graduating with several degrees, he moved to New York, where he rubbed shoulders with some of the biggest names in jazz. A member of the Jae Sinett Trio, he made his solo debut on the self-produced album Introducing Justin Kauflin (2010). Five years later, under the protection of his manager and producer Quincy Jones, he reappeared with the consecration album Dedication.
