Biography
Julio César Encarnación (September 30, 1994), better known by his stage name JC la Nevula, is a rapper from the Dominican Republic. A precocious talent, he began producing at the age of 12, doing home recordings in his bedroom after watching several online tutorials. In 2009, JC la Nevula made his official debut with the single “Rap Vitamina” and joined the hip-hop collective Rp Music shortly after. The following year, he decided to delve deeper into music production and founded his own studio, which became quite popular amongst local artists. His big breakthrough in the urban music scene came right after meeting Juan Alberto “Albert06 el Veterano” Pérez Cueva, with whom he recorded the hits “Eto E Pa' Que Te Parta” (2012) and “Llegaron los Jefes” (2013). Subsequently, JC la Nevula signed with Caja Fuerte Records and achieved both domestic and international fame with hits such as “Tú Eres Mi Wife” and “Toy Amarrao,” included in his 2017 debut album Frescura Dominicana. That year, he also dropped the full-length El Fresco Más Romántico. In 2021, JC la Nevula returned with the live album El Fresco Más Romántico (En Vivo), whose lead single “Búscate Otro” entered the Spanish charts at Number 8.
