Morgan Daniel Pitney, known professionally as Mo Pitney, and born on March 24, 1993, in Cherry Valley, Illinois, is an American country music singer. He began playing drums at age six and guitar at twelve, eventually forming a bluegrass band with his brother and a friend. In May 2014, Pitney signed to Curb Records and released his debut single "Country" in December of the same year. The song reached Number 35 on Country Airplay and was positively reviewed for its traditional country sound. His second single, "Boy & a Girl Thing", followed in August 2015. Pitney's debut album, Behind this Guitar, was released on October 7, 2016, featuring collaborations with Morgane Stapleton and Mac McAnally. The album charted at Number 10 on Billboard's Top Country Albums. His second studio album, Ain't Lookin' Back, was released in August 2020.
