When Yoko Solo (of QuakeTrap Recodings) shoddily tried to teach beat-making with his dumb machines to Oakland Technical High School youngsters, B-Child,known at the time, was there to add a sense of urgency, purpose, and a drive to push the envelope.
“I’m originally from West Oakland ca.
I’ve been apart of social justice movements and music based programs in Oakland ca back in 2001-08.
I was a participant as a youth, then stepped up as a facilitator when I became of age.
Music was very addictive. I was allowed to listen to radio from birth. Whatever my father played on turntable or whatever my mom played, I took to it. I like the energy of what music provides whether positive or negative. I felt that I can provide energy to the masses.
I’ve been told that I sound like Danny Brown, Will Smith, MAC Dre, and any rapper from the golden era of rap music.
I sound like a rapper you’ll love back in the 80s that continued to create dope songs.
I received praise from my own peers and mentors. It’s very inspiring.”
Now he's taking over the planet, piece by piece, starting with his presence at a Brazilian Hip Hop summit (3rd annual World Social Forum), his collaborations (ongoing) with Randy Manigga, Shaggy Manatee (as Hi-Fi Gemini) and continuing from the dojo of the Quake Trap's computers and Mics.

Creating music for up and coming artists and favorite artist of mine is a blessing. I want to develop a unique show experience plus be able to perform at a high caliber. Shows changed in rap music. Way too many rappers performing over album tracks. I couldn’t do that, lol!”
