KAFV is a Dubai based hip hop artist. A witty storyteller whose vivid life descriptions traverse between the kafkaesque and the DOOM-esque, he was raised in the neighboring capital Abu Dhabi, where grew up binge-listening to artists like Nas, Notorious BIG, Slum Village, The Roots and other legendary hip hop acts. KAFV has worked with local UAE hip hop artists like legendary hip hop band “Diligent Thought” graduates Feras Ibrahim and Irshad Azeez, Levantine artists like Elepheel from Lebanon, and abul3ees from Palestine. Ever since taking things into his own hand, KAFV was able to amass a series of self-produced tracks over the years, which eventually led him to work on his acclaimed debut project, AKSHUN. An extension of his affinity for rare vinyls, KAFV’s static-laced sample sources shine through in his music and contribute to his sonic identity.
