US rapper Ali Moore (best known as Big Ali) was born in the Queens district of New York in 1978 but since 2001 has based himself in Europe and resides in Paris. In common with many rap artists Moore is a serial collaborator and has worked with different artists on many occasions including Snoop Dogg, DJ Assad, Willy William and Matt Houston. The most successful of these collaborations was the 2006 single 'Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now)'. The single was the creation of French music producer Bob Sinclar and featured Moore along with Dollarman and Makedah on vocals. The single became an international hit and charted well across Europe but also listed at number one in the Billboard's Hot Dance Chart.
The success of 'Rock This Party' established Moore's credentials as a rap artist but subsequent collaborations and solo singles have failed to make the same impression on the charts. He remains popular in France and works at club venues in the USA, Asia and Latin America. He has been an MC at the Cannes Film Festival and is often to be found performing at St. Tropez's VIP Room.
