Dimitra Galani, born Δήμητρα Γαλάνη on November 14, 1952, in Athens, Greece, is a Greek singer and songwriter. She began her musical career at the age of 16, contributing vocals to several tracks on Dimos Moutsis' and Nikos Gatsos' album A Smile. In 1971, Galani provided vocals for six tracks on Manos Hatzidakis' album Land of Gold and released her first solo album, Δήμητρα Γαλάνη. Throughout her career, she collaborated with notable composers such as Dimos Moutsis, Manos Loizos, Giorgos Hatzinasios, Giannis Spanos, Vassilis Tsitsanis, Mikis Theodorakis, and performers like Alkistis Protopsalti and Xaris Alexiou. Her discography spans traditional laika and entekhna genres, as well as Greek pop and Greek New Wave. Galani's notable albums include Ο Κάμπος (1974), "Μ' αγαπούσες θυμάμαι..." (1978), Ατέλειωτος δρόμος (1983), and Φως (1991). She has composed music for feature films and TV, winning the Arion award for the song "Τράβα σκανδάλη" and the Prosopa award for the film soundtrack of 'Taxim'.
