Weekend Players, an electronic music duo from England, comprised vocalist Rachel Foster and producer Andy Cato, the latter known for his work with Groove Armada. The pair formed in the early 2000s, blending deep house, downtempo, and trip‑hop influences. Their initial breakthrough came with the single "I'll Be There", which reached number one on the US Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 2003. Following this success, the duo released the single "21st Century" on 23 December 2002 through Multiply, a label that also handled their subsequent release "Into The Sun" on 1 January 2003. Both albums featured tracks that were incorporated into television series such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: Miami. Throughout their career, Weekend Players maintained a presence on club charts and collaborated with notable artists, including contributions to Bent’s Ariels album. Their work earned them recognition within the electronic music community, with chart placements and a reputation for crafting atmospheric house tracks. After a period of activity that spanned the early 2000s, the duo disbanded, and the members pursued separate projects; no further releases were issued under the name Weekend Players. The legacy of their two studio albums remains a reference point for early 2000s electronic music.
